Henderson Valley Private Kindergarten is a family-owned and operated kindergarten located in the tranquil Henderson Valley scenic reserve far removed from noise and pollution.
Established in 2010 as the second of two kindergartens owned by Norman and Jennifer who have had their original centre in Titirangi running for over 30 years, our Henderson Valley Campus brings with it a unique experience for children to receive quality education and care in a spacious, thoughtfully designed centre, as well as having the opportunity to engage with the natural world that our location lends us to. Hands on experience with animals is a fantastic aspect of our kindy location and provides great learning opportunities for our children.This exposure has been shown to have a direct, beneficial influence on children’s cognitive and physical development.
We cater for children from 6 months old in two interconnected learning spaces designed to extend on their unique interests and abilities. We are lucky enough to have large areas available for year round active movement both indoors and outside in our naturalised outdoor space reflective of our location in the Waitakere foothills.
Operating times 7.00 am to 5pm. Monday to Friday. Part day sessions available.

Our family love Henderson Valley Private kindergarten. The team have become extended family. It's a treat to interact with the hand tamed animals. My son is excited to go each day and likes to talk about his friends and teachers.

The kaiako at Henderson Valley are absolute masters of their craft. My daughter had some separation anxiety when starting, but in no time at all she has felt comfortable, safe, and at home here due to the kindness and care she has received from staff. They are so genuinely invested in the tamariki's wellbeing, I feel completely confident when dropping my kid off that she will be well looked after. We cannot recommend Henderson Valley enough, I rave about it to anyone who will listen! Thank you for looking after our girl 😊

Also all the activities melts my heart! Cruella has all these drawings in her bag. We never got anything from her old kindy. Its the small things that really make a huge impact and melt our hearts 🥰 Also, the full on updates at pick up … how she stands at the fence and sings, how she played with her cousin, how she observed the bigger kids dances (the teacher even demonstrated Crus facials) 🥰🥰🤍🤍

Our daughter has thrived here! She has always been on the shyer more reserved side, however the staff here have done an amazing job at helping her through her transition. She has really come out of her shell and built a lot of confidence. She loves going to kindy and has bonded really well with the staff. Amazing experience, definitely recommend 🥰

Such a beautiful environment. Kindest teachers who are SO incredibly attentive to all the children. Such a variety in activities and learning opportunities for each age group. My son has THRIVED there and developed amazing friendships with the teachers and other kids.

We love sending our child to HVPK! The teachers are out of this world amazing and have each made such a big effort to build a special relationship with our child. He is always greeted at the door by one of them for a big cuddle and a chat. He’s never not wanted to go, he runs to the gate everyday with so much excitement and loves waving and saying morning to all the animals we walk past to get there. Wouldn’t send him anywhere else. We love this kindergarten so much. Our first born was finding it hard to settle in daycare, it took a while to find the right place for her, this was the third place she went and she thrived, she was so good and happy since the first day, she loves going here, and wants to go 7 days a week.
